Chelsea Market Food Tour

Mom and Dad arranged a food tour by recommendation of Dad's friend.  The food tour took you through the Chelsea Market and the Meat Packing district.  It was really cool to hear the history of the area.  Chelsea Market (formerly the Nabisco factory) basically saved the area, and enticed big fancy five star restaurants and clubs to come to the area.  Our tour guide Ed, told us about most of the shops in the market and we got to try some amazing food including Elaina's cookies, Sara Beths jam, an Italian store, Gilato, the Milk Bar's chocolate milk, and lobster bisque.  It was really cool to try stuff we normally probably wouldn't pay for.  And you better believe that after the tour we went and bought probably $100 worth of stuff!  If anyone is coming to New York - this is a REALLY fun tour - I highly recommend it.

This is Ed - our guide.  He is a native New Yorker, and in this picture he is teaching us how to pick a good lobster.
Finally a place to buy a good size jar a Nutella.  This is one of MANY cool things at the Italian store. Here we sampled garlic olives, sausage, grilled mozzarella, bread, and onions.
In the meat packing district.  Dad, Ed, Mom, me, & Deven
