4th of July in Huntington Beach

On the 4th of July we went to church and then walked a few blocks to the parade. It was perfect parade weather, and was a quick half mile to the route. The parade was really fun, very crowded, and had a small town feel. They had a few fly-overs which is Deven's favorite part. I was a little bummed they didn't have many floats or balloons, but it was a fun atmosphere anyway.

At the parade

There were SO many bikes everywhere. I guess that is the mode of transportation on a busy holiday!
The navy fly-over. They went by about 4 times in different formations.
Later that day we borrowed our neighbor's bikes and rode down to the pier for the firework show. There were ALOT of people on the beach, even though it was kind of cold.
We found a great spot right by the water to sit and wait for the firework show. It was so cool. We actually started laughing during the finale because there were SO many fireworks. They shot them off the pier, it was great. After a very pleasant bike ride home, we called it a night. It was a great 4th.
