First flight

We had a crazy time getting ready for our big trip to Utah. The DAYS before we left it rained, a lot! Monday night we packed and did laundry, and finally got ready for bed when we noticed ants in the kitchen. By this time was 1:00! When it rains water ants come into the shower, but we had never had them in the kitchen before. After cleaning our already clean kitchen, it was about 2:00 when we finally got to sleep. The next day was pouring rain, but we were ready to go. After Deven did a half day, he came and got me. We drove up to the Long beach airport at rush hour and made it just in time. Deven dropped us off at the terminal, and rushed to park the car. After running the length of the parking lot twice to catch a shuttle, he finally made it and we got all the bags check and were ready to go through security. The Long Beach airport is an "open" airport, which normally is not a problem, but when it is raining sucks! We had about 11 things on the x-ray machine (2 seats, laptop, belts, jackets, diaper bag, purse, 2 carry-ons, and a bag of liquids). The worst part was walking onto the plane. I had both babies walking up the ramp when a binki popped out onto the tarmac. Deven was carrying all the bags and trying to shove the car seats into bags, while it was pouring rain! The babies did great though, and we made it to SLC in one piece and had some really nice people help us with our bags when we landed. The plane ride home we were a well-oiled machine, so lesson learned!
