After Christmas the whole family got SLAMMED with the flu. It was pretty miserable, I hadn't been that sick in years. Our poor nephew Easton had to spend 6 days in the hospital with the yucky stuff! Our kids weathered it well, but it was sad to miss so many days of our vacation.
But even though we were sick, we got to squeeze in a lot of fun too! We went sledding a few times, Deven and I got to see 3 movies, Deven got to snowboard three times, and I got to join him the last day. The snow was GREAT, and it felt good to get outside after so many days in. While we were snowboarding Mom took the kids to the library and jail museum.
Mom and Dad also treated us to a fun dinner for Deven's birthday. We went to The Farm up at the Canyons Resort. It was fun to have a little adult only dinner.
Grandma and Buddy gave Remy and Kasen scooters for Christmas. They love them! They are going to get fast!
Fun with the humidifier….good sports!
I had to include this picture just to show we did live through that week. Thanks to my mom (who somehow managed to NOT get sick) for letting us fully invade her house and rock her schedule to pieces. The kids all had 103-104 fevers for a day or two, very crazy coughs, and runny noses.
One of my favorite things we did while in Utah was drive up to Midway and see the "Ice Castle" It is an art instillation at a local park. It is really beautiful, and quite big (probably 50 yards I'd guess).
Another day we went up to the Thanksgiving point museum. Keagan came with us because it was the day they took Easton to the hospital. Their favorite part is the Tinkering room. Damen LOVED the air tubes and Remy and Kasen loved the sand wheel tables.
