We kind of had a Birthday Week because Deven took the kids to a special one on one meal. Kasen wanted a tortilla so he and Deven went to El Torrito and he was very excited about getting ice cream. When he blew out a candle at the restaurant he told Deven he was 3. I guess in his mind he thought the turning point was when the candle went out.
He started the day by climbing into bed with us at 6:00. Damen joined in at 6:30. The sleepy boys.
Off to Build-a-Bear with Ashley and Grandma (their present to Kasen). He quickly chose a panda bear. He wanted all the accessories but ended up choosing a skateboard.
After build-a-bear we went to Lazy Dog Cafe for dinner. We then went and ate his special blue cupcakes. He mostly just liked the frosting. Very long fun birthday!
Fun Facts about our 3 year old Kasen:
*He has a major sweet tooth (loves "Treats")
*He is SUPER smart and has a really good memory. We have been doing a little Mommy school and Remy loves it. Kasen acts semi interested but then when I ask them both questions to review - he knows all the answers and more.
*He loves to be at the park and is a really good climber. He also loves to jump off of stuff and thinks he is a super high jumper.
*He is a big time mommy's boy which has been really frustrating lately with nursery (and baby sitters).
*He doesn't really "play" with toys unless I am sitting there with him. He mostly just likes to rough house and "save" things from falling.
*He has a lot of "boy energy" - which gets him in trouble and hurts his siblings.
*He loves to swim and play at the beach
*He is really brave about bugs and will kill them for me at home.
*He has definite favorites: number -5, color-blue, song-ants go marching, food-cookies, show-toy story 2/3.
