Petting Zoo & Angels Game

Deven had the rest of the 4th of July week off - so not only did we get a lot done, we also got to have a lot of family fun.

One night we walked the pier and got dinner and ice cream with the kids.  We also had a fun park evening with Deven.

The next day we went to the Irvine Park zoo - perfect size, only 2 dollars, and the sweetest little goat petting zoo.

Kasen and Remy loved all the animals - Remy didn't like them so much when they were no longer behind the fence.  She DID NOT want to touch the goats and had no desire to go near them.  Kasen loved brushing them and followed the little baby goat around for a while.  Then he just went around the place picking up all the loose petting brushes and returned them to the bin.

That night we went to the Angels game.  The kids did great!   We had really fun seats on the lower deck left field.  We enjoyed a hotdog dinner and a whole bag of peanuts.  Kasen found his new favorite snack - shelling peanuts was a hit.  They also both got cute stickers that said, "first game" and loved the Angel's "rally monkey" they kept showing on the TV.  Remy was so cute to cheer - and both kids loved the wave.

My goal was to make it to the 7th inning stretch - and we actually made it 8 innings.  Around 9:30 we left to the car and got the kids changed for bed, and enjoyed the Big Bang Friday fireworks show from the parking lot.  We even beat the traffic out.  It was a great night.

Remy liked having her own seat - but it didn't last long.
