Deven was given a BFA award from the visual art department last night. Pretty cool - and also last night was Deven's BFA show opening reception. There was a HUGE turn out because of the award show and the student show that also "opened" yesterday. We had a table with food set up that was gone in literally 10 minutes. There were probably at least 400 people that walked through and saw the show.
What was even cooler was to watch people "experience" the show. They did exactly what Deven hoped they would. To really understand you need to see it - but most put the puzzle together, read the stuff under the peices, read his artst statement again - and then got some awareness of autism. Pretty cool. I am so proud of him!!
