If you remember a few weeks ago - I posted that Deven won an award at the AIGA 100 show. Well, Friday night was the award night - so we got to see what pieces of his won - and had a really fancy dinner (Graphic Designers know how to put on a function!). It was a great time.
EVERY piece Deven entered into the show - won. That is 3!! We were thinking he might have gotten two, because we got two awards - but nope, all 3. He is truly amazing. The awards were called Merit Awards - he got a cool certificate, and gets to claim it. He also will have his work put into a design book they will put out next year.
It was funny when they were naming the awards - all three of his pieces were called together - so when he went up to get the first, he just stayed up. A guy behind me said, "Wow, he better just stay up there all night."
It was a great end to a great day. Earlier that day we attended Grandpa Harris' funeral. It was a good service, and great to see the family.
