Monkey Zoo

Last week for the beginning of our "Thursday Fun Summer Days" we went to the Santa Ana Zoo.  It is a funny little zoo with monkeys, birds, and a few other animals that you can see from far away, that the kids couldn't see or didn't care about. But they liked the monkeys! It was the perfect size for a morning out and then back home for nap time.

 My two little monkeys
Enjoying a chip break while looking at the howler monkeys.  The howler monkeys started freaking out when we were by them, and then as soon as we walked away they stopped howling.  They didn't like us much!  There is a lake in front of the howler monkeys that house some swans.  Remy kept saying "throw" because she wanted to feed her chips to the "ducks."
Kasen by the big lizard.  Remy would NOT stand by the cement animals - they were way to scary.  Remy was also VERY scared of the big pig in the "farm" area. After that she wouldn't have anything to do with the goats.  Kasen did pet the goat though - and wanted to grab their ears.
This is as close as she would get.  Kasen thought the eyes were funny.

We went with our friends the Haights - Kasen loves to say all the kids names: "Danin" (dallin), "Gam" (Graham), and "Baby" (Deacon who is a baby).  Luckily Kristy brought her camera and extra cash because I forgot my camera and wallet.  I'm going to blame that on pregnancy brain.
