"I have missed you."

So one of the autistic kids I work with has been fully mainstreamed into a 2nd grade class. This big change just happened within the last week.

Today I went to pick him up for speech and he ran up, hugged my legs, and yelled, "I HAVE MISSED YOU SPEECH!!" (he can't remember my name, so he calls me speech).

I squatted down and asked him what he meant, because I still get to see him all the time for speech (that doesn't change). He just simply said, "I guess I just miss a lot of people, a lot of the time. And you are one of them."

Ahh....WARM FUZZ-IES!
